King Community Night at the Warthogs game - July 30

Little League Officials:

I just wanted to let you know that the King Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating the King Community Night at the Warthogs for the game on Monday, July 30. We have the tickets for the King reserved section for sale in our office at $7 each. As we did last year, those children whose tickets are purchased through us will be registered to be called down for between inning events and for prize drawings. If we have a team to purchase tickets, then we will do something special to give the entire team recognition. Any business that purchases a block of 50 or more tickets may also set up a booth or promotional table on the concourse surrounding the seats. The Chamber does receive a rebate on every ticket sold from our office. The monies generated from this activity are used to fund some of the KingFest Children’s activities.

As the Little League season has just begun, we have plenty of time to coordinate a great showing at this game for the King Community. Please let me know if this would be of interest to your teams, and your suggestions on getting the word out to the teams and players within the framework of King Little League policies.

Our Minor Girls and our Junior Girls continue their winning streak! The Minor Girls, coached by Keith Seaman, will be playing in the 9/10 year old State Tournament Championship game on Thursday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m. in West Jefferson, NC.
The Junior Girls, coached by Steve Salmon, will also be playing in their State Tournament Championship game on Thursday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m., in Canton, NC.

All three of our softball Divisions are the District II Champions and advanced to the State tournament!

Major Girls
Our Major Softball team traveled to Kinston, North Carolina to participate in the State Tournament. After losing their first game to Wilkes, they fought back and finished the tournament by finishing 3rd in the State. Congratulations girls!

Minor Girls
Our Minor Softball team is in West Jefferson, North Carolina, for their State Tournament. They have won all three games they have played and have advanced to the Championship Game which will be held on Thursday, July 27. Congratulations on your accomplishments so far and Good Luck on Thursday!

Junior Girls
Our Junior Softball team is in Canton, North Carolina, participating in their State Tournament. Good luck girls!

Both Divisions are the District II Champions and will be advancing to the State tournament. The KLL Junior Softball Division won the championship game on Monday, July 10, against High Point. Their State Tournament will be held in Canton, North Carolina, beginning Saturday, July 22. The KLL Major Softball Division won the championship game on Tuesday, July 11, against Davie America. Their State Tournament will be held in Kinston, North Carolina beginning Saturday, July 15. Good luck to both teams!
